Shaheer Sheikh to play the male lead in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai spin-off

After weeks of speculations on who would be playing the male lead in the spin-off of StarPlus’ long-running show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, the makers have finally confirmed that it will be the versatile actor Shaheer Sheikh who will take up the role.

The television’s handsome hunk Shaheer Sheikh, who can effortlessly pull off any role is all set to embark on a new journey with this new show on StarPlus.

Producer Rajan Shahi confirms that, “We have been working on the spin-off of the popular show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai which recently completed 10 years. Shaheer Sheikh has been signed to play the male lead in the spin-off and will be seen in a dynamic character, which is completely different from his previous outings.”

Shaheer Sheikh took to social media to confirm the news and revealed, “I don’t know if I am a good choice for anything but I will give it my best.”
